About Young Adult Sexual Services
from the Mount Sinai Institute for Advanced Medicine
Mount Sinai's Institute for Advanced Medicine (IAM) reaches out to groups who are underserved or have specialized needs, and provides outstanding, compassionate care—no matter one’s background, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Some of the groups we serve include the HIV/AIDs community, the LGBTQ+ community, victims of domestic violence, recently incarcerated men and women who are transitioning to life on their own, and even those who cannot afford medical care. Our specialty services include mental health, case management, social services, and on-site specialty doctors in areas such as cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, and nephrology. Services also include treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
We also work aside The Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery (CTMS) which delivers advanced care for transgender and non-binary people. The CTMS team is a comprehensive group of providers who have expertise in primary care, hormone therapy, behavioral health support and gender-affirming surgeries.
The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center delivers comprehensive, integrated, confidential medical and mental health services and prevention education to young people ages 10 to 26, all under one roof and at no cost to patients. Services include primary health care, counseling, support, mental health, and family therapy, sexual and reproductive health and nutrition, fitness and wellness programs.
